Consistency Over Intensity
DAY 5 — CONSISTENCY OVER INTENSITY
“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night,”
Psalm 92:1–2
Come up higher: Build a life of rhythm, not reaction.
Many think of revival as wild, loud, full of power and fire! But true revival looks different. Revival is less like an atom bomb and more like a pilot light: steady and consistent, faithful and unyielding, ready to go full power at a moment’s notice.
God is not calling us to the intensity of event-driven Christianity. He is calling us to deep, consistent devotion. We must develop a rhythm of life that incorporates communion with the Father throughout each day, every day. This lifestyle doesn’t happen automatically, and it doesn’t happen accidentally. We must be intentional to say no to some things so we can say yes to what matters most – Him!
Scripture, worship, prayer, meditation; Morning and night; Again, and again. This is how the fire is sustained. This is how we are transformed into believers who carry the Father’s heart. Revival starts in personal devotion long before it ignites churches. Revival consumes churches with a hunger for righteousness and a heart for the lost long before it sweeps regions. It seems that changing the world starts with changing our schedules.
Prayer: “Lord, establish consistency in me. Help me to walk with You daily, faithfully, and steadily so that I can burn with passion for the Kingdom.”
