Day 25 – Nations Will Come

Isaiah 60:1–3 (NKJV)

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.”

Some people are nonchalant about the world “going to hell in a handbasket”. The idea that darkness covers the earth - that people are captive to deep darkness - should grieve us. The compassion of God should compel us to live so that others see God in us and are drawn to His Presence.

Prayer Focus:

Father, let Your glory arise upon Your daughters. Draw others to the light of Your presence in them. We pray that your light breaks through the darkness and sets captives free.
